Message from our President:

Hello fellow orchid enthusiasts:
The weather is in Reno is cooling down and just like ourselves, our orchids are preparing for winter (in Reno it can be shock to us all…like snow on October 10th!). For this month’s presentation, Ramon de los Santos and myself will give a summary of the plant’s biology as winter approaches and the tips and techniques that will ensure healthy plants and prolific flowering throughout the coldest and darkest part of the year. The topic will be covered in an informal way with lots of input from other local growers and with ample opportunity for questions and discussions. A great way for beginners to become familiar with growing orchids through the seasons and for expert growers to pick up some new tricks.
