President Sean Abbott and Vice President Ramon de los Santos
will team together this month to give a program
entitled “Winterizing Your Orchids”. Sean is from
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. There he did extensive
work with orchids under very harsh conditions
and his outlook on winterizing orchids here
in Nevada will be different than Ramon’s.
Ramon is from Manila in the Philippines.
That is a very tropical climate where growing orchids
is easy. Adjusting to the Nevada climate
with its distinct changing seasons has been
a different experience for both of them.
